The “Today Show” is a famous TV program on the NBC channel, which has been going strong for 65 years. Every day, the “news and talk morning show” informs and entertains a huge American audience. The studio is in New York, and on 2 March, for its feature on technology, presented by expert Katie Linendoll, it welcomed Gita, the smart cargo robot designed by Piaggio Fast Forward. The innovative project astonished the presenters and the audience. Hardly surprising. But what can Gita do? Find out more in this taster clip (other videos with photos and articles can be found in the Innovation section).

Gita also met students and lecturers at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and the Boston University College of Engineering, with a stopover at the Tufts University campus (Medfort, Massachusetts). It has been mentioned by Mashable (the new ideas, technologies, inventions “bible”) as one of the objects that will make our lives easier.

Moving on, Gita was also one of the guests at the opening of MassRobotics in Boston (attended by mayor Marty Walsh), a new space for robotics and automation companies.

GITA AND KILO: PHOTOGALLERY FROM THE LAUNCH PARTY

Piaggio Fast Forward Launch event

Take a look at the photogallery from the Gita and Kilo launch party, at the Cafe ArtScience in Cambridge, where the new entries were joined by other excellences from the Piaggio Group (of which Piaggio Fast Forward is part), such as the (VESPA 946) RED, the Piaggio Wi-Bike and the Aprilia RSV4 RF motorbike. Even the decorations, and the desserts, including an ice “sculpture”, were inspired by the Gita’s stylish round lines.
