Military Police of Israel Defence Forces.
FOR THE ISRAELI POLICE FORCES. In the last two years almost 700 Piaggio Mp3s have been delivered by Ofer Motor Co. Ltd., the Piaggio Group importer in Israel and Palestine, to a series of “large accounts”, some of whom, such as the “Red Shield of David” (the Red Cross) and the Police, have been using the Piaggio maxi scooter for their fleets for years. Here is a quick round-up of the latest deliveries.
The Israeli Police have 350 new 300ie three-wheelers (in a special outfitting with top box, siren, flashing lights and personalised livery), which are used by officers on patrol duty to enforce public order and security.
Another 30 customised Piaggio Mp3 vehicles have been consigned to the patrol teams of the Israel Military Police, which operates control services in the territory.

THE RED SHIELD OF DAVID: EMERGENCY MEDICAL AID ON THREE WHEELS. Another “large account” in Israel is the “Red Shield of David” (the national Red Cross) of the Magen David Adom organisation.
In addition to using helicopters and ambulances, the Red Shield’s paramedics provide emergency first aid (prior to hospitalisation) using an agile fleet of Mp3 scooters (200 vehicles with 300cc electronic injection engines, in a customised version with top box, siren, flashing lights), which are particularly suitable for moving fast through the narrow streets of city centres; the scooters also play a vital role in emergency blood transportation, with the riders travelling on the gutsy “Fire” version of the scooter (customised for the service’s specific needs).
The Magen David Adom organisation responds to hundreds of thousands of emergency calls every year. The technical staff of the Piaggio Group’s Ofer Motor importer provides special training for operators and paramedics.
ISRAEL ELECTRIC CORP. Another 50 Piaggio Mp3 300cc scooters (with customised livery, logo and top box) are used by the public government agency that generates electricity for all sectors in Israel and for the Palestinian Authority.
The Israel Electric Corp. is active in electric power production, transformation, distribution, supply and sale to private and business customers. The vehicles are used by engineers and meter readers, making maintenance and services faster and more efficient.
BEZEQ TELECOMMUNICATION. The leading telecommunications service provider, which supplies telephone and internet services, has also taken delivery of a fleet of 30 customised Piaggio Mp3 300cc scooters for its engineers, who can be seen out on the country’s roads every day.
