Piaggio Ape Philippines (AutoItalia Philippines Enterprises group), the distributor of the Piaggio Commercial Vehicles range in the Philippines, has produced a great little video to publicise the virtues of the three-wheel cargo van. Virtues many people are familiar with: excellent mileage on little fuel, low running costs, high loading capacity, great versatility to adapt to a full range of cargo and passenger transportation needs, with different models and countless special versions. “The 3-wheel wonder” is the claim on the importer’s website.

With just 5 litres of fuel, the cheerful delivery boy in the video drives a yellow Apé Xtra round Manila and the neighbouring provinces, along dirt tracks and even fording a river, under pressure from a demanding boss who doesn’t want him to lose a minute, not even for a cup of coffee. This amusing video highlights the attractions of the “wonderful” Ape.

Then there’s the clip illustrating the range and the thousand and one possible uses for the “wonderful” Ape, with a song written especially for the vehicle.

The Philippine distributor of the Apé range (produced in India by the Piaggio Group subsidiary PVPL-Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited) has Piaggio dealers across the country, in Cavite, Greenhills, Mandaue, Naga, Otis and Zamboanga.
