She doesn’t need any introductions: Chiara Ferragni, 30 last May, a native of Cremona, a famous international blogger, also known as The Blonde Salad (from the title of her blog). In just a few years, she has become one of the most keenly followed and highly paid trendsetters and influencers. In 2010 she was a guest on the MTV TRL Awards, four years later, she was earning 8 million dollars, the following year more than ten. She has become a case study for no less than the Harvard Business School, then a global testimonial for worldwide brands; she has also modelled for the American edition of Vanity Fair and graced the covers of the world’s top fashion magazines, from France to Mexico. In 2016 Forbes included her in its “30 Under 30 Europe” list.

“Chiara and the Vespa: an everlasting love!”.
Chiara is an undisputed style icon, just like her favourite scooter: the Vespa. And here – in a post from a few years ago entitled “Habemus vespam” and accompanied by a cute photoshoot – she talks about her relationship with the planet’s most celebrated two-wheeler. A relationship that continues today. So much so that we could have headlined this article: “Chiara and the Vespa: an everlasting love!”.
By Chiara Ferragni: “My first motorbike was my grey Vespa 125, which I was given for my 16th birthday and with which I used to have so much fun in Cremona, feeling like a grown up. Then our family was joined by two other Vespas, both of them vintage models: one became my dad’s and the second one my sister’s.
When I moved to Milan, at 19, I lost the right to use my first Vespa, which quickly became my youngest sister’s most treasured possession. Ricky has always been a lover of big motorbikes … We had been thinking about getting a Vespa for the two of us for a long time: there’s nothing more practical to get from one meeting to the next in the city, especially in the summer months. Our Vespa has arrived … and yesterday we tried it out”.
Chiara still rides round Milan on a Vespa: on 30 July 2017 she posted a photo of herself on Instagram astride a smart blue Primavera with a cream-coloured saddle, complete with windshield and top box. A snapshot that has attracted more than 309,000 likes. Confirming her fame as a super blogger & golden girl.
