Aprilia is taking part in the 2019 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Race, in the US State of Colorado. And it is fielding its challenge, in the Heavyweight class, with the Tuono V4 1100 Factory, ridden by Australian Rennie Scaysbrook (Cycle News road test editor).
A naked bike continuously celebrated as a category-best motorcycle in the USA, the Tuono combines the track performance features of the RSV4 with a complete package to tackle the 156 corners of Pikes Peak, a well-known Colorado mountain. On 30 June 2019 Aprilia will be compete in the Race to the Clouds, in a single timed attempt.
An ascent of almost 20 km up to an altitude of 4,300 metres, where the conditions of machine, rider and terrain can change at any time in one of the most celebrated events in motorcycling, and the only one of its kind in the United States.
To celebrate this amazing project, a limited edition of the Tuono V4 1100 Factory has been created. Just 25 bikes, only for the USA, arriving in July: this is the Tuono Factory Summit Attack limited edition!
