Milan, 13 February 2020 - The second season of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy begins, the easiest and most fun way to taste the sporting side of the Moto Guzzi brand. In preparation for the 2020 edition, which will get underway on 26 April in Varano racetrack (Italy), Moto Guzzi will make a few Moto Guzzi V7 III bikes, already outfitted with the Trophy Kit, available to all riders who want to test it on the track on the weekends of Saturday, 29 February and Sunday, 1 March and Saturday and Sunday, 4 and 5 April, at Circuito Internazionale d’Abruzzo, in Ortona (Chieti, Italy).
This is a unique opportunity for all enthusiasts interested in participating in the 2020 Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy, who will thereby be able to personally see just how much the V7 III Trophy is a real racing bike, capable of making less expert riders feel at ease, while at the same time proving to be great fun even for the most experienced racers.

In Ortona it will be two weekends under the sign of passion for the Eagle brand, even off the track: in fact, the Moto Guzzi range models will be available for a test ride that will wind its way through the most beautiful roads in the surrounding area, starting from the circuit paddock.
Special price on Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone for those who register for the Trophy. The first edition of the Eagle single-brand championship in 2019 - dedicated to teams of two riders astride Moto Guzzi V7 III machines - was enormously successful thanks to an accessible and engaging formula. Much of the credit goes to the “seven-fifty” from Mandello which, outfitted with the Gcorse Racing Kit and Pirelli tyres, proved to be unexpectedly fast and extremely reliable, but above all easy, intuitive and usable on the track even by those who do not boast any racing experience.
Pursuing the intention of making the championship accessible to an increasingly broader audience of riders, Moto Guzzi will apply a special discount to the purchase of a new Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone to all the teams who register for the 2020 edition of the Trophy. In fact, those who participate in the entire championship will be able to purchase it at the special price of €7,320, for an advantage to the customer of €800.
Registration for the entire championship will remain open through 10 April at the discounted cost of €1,250 per Team (which works out to €125 per rider per race). Alternatively, teams will be able register for the individual rounds up to two weeks prior to the race at a cost of €350 per Team.

The 2020 edition of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy reserves some significant changes, aimed at guaranteeing an even more level playing field and more fun for all the participants. First of all, the “mini endurance” races will be longer, now lasting 90 minutes instead of 60. This way, the riders will have more time for fun in the saddle and there will be more action in the races, since the minimum number of rider changes in pit lane - with riding turns staying at 15 minutes - will go from 3 to 5. This means that consistent performance and the teamwork of the two riders will be rewarded even more, in line with the “guzzista” way of interpreting racing, therefore placing priority of friendship and a team spirit.
For the final race of 2019 in Misano racetrack, 25 bikes were at the start for 50 riders, an unforgettable show that confirmed the success of the first edition of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy, an absolutely unique and original concept on the national motorcycle racing scene thanks to the “mini endurance” race format with two-rider teams. But one of the winning characteristics was also the spectacular and adrenaline charged start of the races in “Le Mans” style, with the bikes lined up on one side of the track and the riders who must cross the track from the other side at the start to get in the saddle and set off. These are features which had seemed to be just a distant memory of the legendary endurance races of yesteryear, but which the Moto Guzzi Trophy is letting increasingly more numerous enthusiasts experience once again.

Participants in the 2020 single-brand championship will have to chance to enjoy another thrill usually reserved for a very few lucky riders: racing at night. In fact, the race scheduled in September on the Adria circuit will be held on Saturday evening, with the floodlights - and the V7 III headlights, mounted only for this particular occasion - lighting up the track.
The number of rounds remains unchanged at five. The opening race will be at Varano on 26 April, followed by Vallelunga (24 May), Magione (21 June), Adria (5 September, night race) and Misano (11 October).
Further improved Racing Kit developed by the Guareschi brothers. The Moto Guzzi V7 III, a bike that has garnered favour from a truly diversified public thanks to its agility and easy ride, will once again be the protagonist of the Trophy, representing the perfect starting point to create an easy and fun bike that can be used on the track even by those of us who do not have any racing experience. Outfitted with the GCorse Racing Kit developed by the Guareschi brothers, highly popular Moto Guzzi tuners even in the sports environment, la “seven-fifty” from Mandello proved to be astonishingly fast and extremely reliable on all the circuits where races were held in 2019. In addition to safety devices, including, for example, undersump and front brake lever protection, the Kit - compulsory and obviously the same for everyone - includes a package of functional and aesthetic mods. These include the top fairing, semi-handlebars, complete exhaust system, raised footpegs, side panels, single-seat saddle and rear mudguard, racing number plates, front suspension cartridges kit and rear shock absorbers. Completing the equipment package are specific ECU engine mapping and dedicated front brake pads.
The only upgrades for 2020, developed based on the experience gained in the first edition, have to do with the braking system, with the adoption of a larger front brake disc capable of withstanding the stress more easily, also taking into consideration the increased race time. On top of all this are, of course, the parts needed to tackle the spectacular night race, specifically a top fairing with headlight housing and a supplementary taillight.
The cost of the complete kit, which can be purchased at the Guareschi Moto dealership, is €3,840 (plus VAT). The kit can be installed autonomously or handled directly by Guareschi Moto. In order to participate in the 2020 edition, Teams which already have the 2019 Kit (or a Moto Guzzi V7 III already set up in 2019 Trophy configuration) will be able to purchase only the additional components included in the “2020 upgrade kit”, available at the price of €465 Euro (plus VAT). The invaluable collaboration with Pirelli is also confirmed for 2020, sole supplier of the Trophy. All the V7 III on the starting grid will once again be shod with the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp RS, a racing tyre developed specifically for the Moto Guzzi V7 III which provide outstanding performance in all conditions. All Teams registered for the entire 2020 Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy will be supplied free of charge with their first set of tyres.
A race format conceived for all, the atmosphere of the most classic races in a youthful and highly engaging environment. In full “guzzista” style, the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy race weekends will be a time of sporting competition in a highly engaging atmosphere. A weekend to experience, cultivating the sentiments of friendship and sharing which have always characterised the healthiest sport and which represent its deepest meaning. The race format and the choice of the V7 III make the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy perfect for everyone to have a great time, from the track novice to the most seasoned enthusiast.
Each race weekend includes two timed practice sessions on Saturday, both lasting 20 minutes for each rider. The average of the best times achieved by the two riders on the team determines the team’s starting position for the race on Sunday (Saturday evening for the Adria round). A clear throwback to the legendary endurance races of times gone by is the race start, which takes place in “Le Mans” style, in other words, with the bikes lined up on one side of the track and the riders who must cross the track from the other side at the start to get in the saddle and set off.
In the race, each rider can ride for no more than 15 minutes (plus five minutes of time to return to pit lane from the time the specific “change” sign comes out). This means that the race, which lasts 90 minutes - is livened up by at least five rider changes which take place on pit lane. Refuelling is not permitted. At the end of the race, points are assigned to the top 15 teams.
