THE APRILIA RS660 TROPHY BACK ON TRACK FOR THE THIRD ROUND, AT VALLELUNGA CIRCUIT, FIRST DOBLE RACE OF THE 2023 SEASON

15 June 2023 - BK Corse is ready to start again at Vallelunga's Piero Taruffi (in Campagnano di Roma, Italy) after the great spectacle of Misano, a fortnight ago, with the absolute debut in the paddock of the Superbike World Championship. A spectacular setting for the insiders and all the protagonists of the Trofeo, ready to write the next chapter of the 2023 season, more competitive than ever.

It will be Vallelunga to host the first weekend with double races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, as foreseen by the CIV programme. The first turning point of the season will see all the entrants do battle for two races that promise to be unmissable and in true Aprilia RS660 Trophy style. The overall classification sees Edoardo Colombi as the leader so far, thanks to his second place in the first round and his splendid victory at Misano. A leadership that the Gradara Corse rider will try to hold on to right from the start, building on the great pace shown in the previous round, which was crucial in bringing home the win.

Colombi will have to face high level competition, starting from the protagonists of the first two podiums of the season such as Filippo Bianchi and Lorenzo Sommariva of the REVO Nuova M2 team, a constant Pablo Echeverry (GP3 AD11) always among the fastest in the category and Yari Favero (Favero Racing Tutapista Corse), just back from his first great result in the Trofeo. Hunt for redemption for Giuseppe De Gruttola (Terra e Moto), pole man at Mugello and in the leading group in both events, chasing the positive streak of results also Edoardo Savioli (Extreme Racign Service), Fabiano Fiaccabrino (RAM), Daniel Lanuza and Cristian D'Arliano (Team Maurer MMR) among others.

Official sessions starting on Friday with a single free practice session before the double qualifying session on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Race 1 scheduled on Saturday afternoon at 17.10, Race 2 as the grand finale on Sunday 18 June morning at 10:30.
